Back Packing?

Some friends and I want to take a backpacking trip in Colorado. We have never gone before. Is there a book or a guide that would help?

There is. You kind find more then you need at any book store or library. If you can do a few over nights before your trip. That will let you work out bugs in you gear and help you know what to bring and what you can leave behind. Have a blast!
