Question:

Back hurts!! Muscle strain??

Hello, hope someone can help. I have really bad lower back pain. It's been a week and two days, but I can't recall anything I did to cause the pain.

What concerns me is, while sitting I try to stretch out my left leg and I feel a painful pull in my lower back that won't let me stretch out my leg completely. Also, while sitting, I turn my head downwards and feel the same painful pull. Stretching the right leg does not cause any pain.

Could this be a pulled muscle/back muscle strain, or something more serious that I should go to the doctor?

  1. I had something similar and it ended up being a protruding disk in my back. I had horrible pain that was pretty much constant. It hurt when I would look down. I had physical therapy for a month and learned some core strengthening exercises. It helped tremendously. I also did pilates and it was awesome at strenghtening my core muscles. I would suggest seeing your doctor if the pain continues.

  2. definitely see a doctor.
