Backpacker hostels, syndey australia?

Question

Does anybody know of a good backpacker hostel in sydnay australia. My friend and i are taking our senior trip there and we hear that the hostels are really cheap and very fun. But i would prefer one that is clean and in a good part of sydney ( espicially where the nightlife lives). thanks

Tons of hostels, in addition to YHA. Cheap, all over the inner city, beach suburbs.

i stayed in sydney for a long time and stayed in noah's backpackers, its directly across the road from bondi beach. its a little away from the nightlife but there is a regular and easy to use bus service that runs all night. i kinda liked it because you get to avoid the crazy city and life the beach life but still your only 5 minutes on a  bus from the city.
