Backpacking over the age of 30...?

Question

I'm interested in the experiences of backpackers over 30. We've done a lot in our 20's and are considering hitting the road again.

What is the longest you were able to stay on the road? And, are you always thinking about your next trip? We can't seem to settle into "regular" life, and get bored easily when we're stationary.
