Bad hdmi cable?

when my ps3 is hooked up to my tv with the hdmi cable i get these quick white flashes on the screen every 10 seconds or so, but i get no problems when that same hdmi cable is hooked up to my cable box,the picture is great ,do you think the cable cant handle the power the ps3 puts out?

If your hdmi cable is very long, then some of the digital signal might be lost. Therefore, you have to put up money and buy a long good hdmi cable that won't lose signal. I suggest monster. If it's not long at all, your hdmi cable might be simply damaged or recieving interference from other electronics in your room. If it's damaged, buy another one. Don't buy from monster if you don't need a long one because they just overprice you. If you need a long one however, monster is the only way to go.
