Ball Ideas please???

Question

im going to my boyfriends graduation ball in 2 weeks and i want to look my best as his ex will be there too. I have a gorgeous red silk and chiffon just above the knee length dress. I have black peep toe heels, a black bag and im gonna get sum black jewellery.

What colour should i paint my nails? i was thinking either black or red.

Also, i have longish brown hair, just down past my shoulders, what style should i do? pictures please!

Also any makeup ideas?

do NOT paint your nails black....or red....reds are too hard to match.  I would go with a french manicure - much more mature and finished looking.

i think you should do black nails. if you know how or can do it..add some red/white designs. maybe you should skip the black jewellery and use gold..idk why but gold just seems classy.

for your hair, try some loose curls, maybe pin a bit of the front up. or if youre planning to do alot of dancing (and sweating) then curl your hair and pin it all up, let some curls fall (not in the front though, in the back part).

for makeup..try doing a smokey eye with gold to match your jewellery. and a nude lip. OR if youve got a really great red lipstick that matches then do a neutral eye with a beautful red lip. try using false eyelashes (it'll take some practice if youve never used them before..try it out a few days before and give yourself at least 20 minutes extra to ensure you get it right. i purchased this false eyelash applicator from sephora which helped alot when i first bought falsies.) DON'T USE RED EYESHADOW. it'll only make you look sick. trust me, red eyeshadow is never a good idea. unless youre going for more avant garde makeup.

I was one my boyfriends ball myself. I had a red dress. I think you should make your nails red cause you have already so much black. put your hair like this:

You'll look way better than his ex in that silk dress! I know that really shouldn't matter, but can we help it? No!

I don't know about the black or red nail polish. I think that would be over-doing it. Why don't you get a french tip done on your finger and toe nails?
