Ball Python Constipation?

Question

It's been a while since my bp pooped. Could he be constipated? If so what should i do? I'd prefer to not go to a vet so are there anything i can put on his food or something?

Yes. Anywhere you have a follicle or pore you can get a pimple. From ingrown hairs, or a clogged pore, or an infected follicle or pore. Just don't pick at it or mess with it - if it is painful you can put warm moist soaks on it intermittently to help it resolve (like a warm damp washcloth). Trying to squeeze or pick it open can lead to an abscess or other complications. Will most like go away on its own.

yeah they get constipated.  every other day soak her in lukewarm water.  enough water to cover her back watch her constantally though accidents can happen and it is possible for them to drown.  also try taking her outside and let her exercise a while, that can sometimes help.  if you do let her outside to exercise get some reptile relief and just spray on her after she is through exercising and wipe it off a little bit with a towel.  its super easy for snakes to get mites from outside and its a pain in the butt to control once they have gotten them.  reptile relief is completely safe for them but you dont want to use it more than every 3 days.

if your snake goes too long withouth making poopies (2 months or so) you will need to take it to the vet.  they can put some castor oil or something like that in a rat for you to feed to your ball python.

and NOOOO he does not have an ingrown hair or pimple!!! he is a snake, not a human! he doesn't even have hair.

ANYWAYS.............

yes snakes can get constipated. just make sure that he has plenty of fresh water at all times.  the water will make the waste in his body become less compact which will help it move through the body more swiftly.  there is nothing you can really put in the mice or rats for him.  he will pass it through him the best he can, and when you feed him next that will go to his stomach and the rest of the waste will be pushed.

when ever i feed my corn snake, she always poops that day of feeding of the next day.

don't HE is not pregnant. he will be fine.  clean water!

A warm water soak may be very helpful.  15-20 minutes a day would be good.  Try letting her get more exercise as well...this can stimulate her too.

put her in a bath tub with luke warm water. fill it to where she can swim freely but isnt drowning. in about 5 - 10 minutes, she should p**p.
