  1. ok first of all, u wont b able to do pointe until u have very good balance, which will b a couple of years!!  it doesnt really help standing on ur tiptoes, but does show u have good balance!!

the arch is in the middle of ur foot, where ur 'arches'(lol)!!

ok exercises~everyone does all different exercises, and its hard to explain mine, but just make sure to always do exercises before ur ballet practice!!

if u can do splits that will help u loads!!

ballet is so much fun!! u will enjoy it loads!! hope u have fun!!=)

  2. For technically accurate and helpful  info about classical ballet you should join the specialist ballet community 'ballet talk for dancers'.

there are so many helpful threads there ESPECIALLY 'the facts of life about pointe' and 'when can I go on pointe' etc.

Join and meet other young dancers and get advice from qualified experienced ballet teachers. Good luck.

  3. Hey girl, you could first start off by doing some simple stretches to become more flexible, but know your limits. I once pulled my entire thigh because I just went right into a split it hurt for months. So please be careful.

Also, stop going onto your toes. Pointe work is only meant to be done in pointe shoes so don't damage your feet before they even step into ballet slippers, seriously! And please, don't go en pointe by yourself, even if it's with pointe shoes, my friend can't dance forever because she went en pointe unsupervised.

    Good luck and take precaution!
