Band shoot. Ideas. Anything will help.?

Question

I am shooting a band- two guys and one girl. The girl does vocals. As of right now, they are acoustic. But technically are Powerpop/PopPunk/you get the idea. I was thinking more 'bright' colors, since the guys are kind of 'scenesters'.

I find band pictures where the members are out of place to be interesting.  Setup in a playground on the jungle gym, perhaps.  In a grocery store.  

Or you could always go with the old standby of in front of a brick wall, under an overpass, on fire-escape stairs, at a railing shot from below.

Acoustic+Powerpop/PopDunk/you-get-the-id... doesn't blend well in my brain. But it would help, and I think they would like it if you'd get ideas from what they want to see.
