Bankcrupcy affects family member?

if a business person files a bankcrupcy, would it affect his family in anyway? such as his wife or daughter would be responsible for paying off debt etc.?

If a Chapter 11 filing (usually only for businesses) then only officers are liable.

If your wife and daugter were partners in the corp, then the answer would be yes.
