Question:

Barcelona and nature......?

I'de like to go on a two week nature trip over the summer, after I finish highscool (anywhere in europe). Anyway, my friends and I thought about Barcelona....would that part of spain be a good destination?

  1. Barcelona City is a huge city!  You would have to get out of the city to find much in the way of nature...You could use the city as a home base.  

    Barcelona, the Province, however, has tons of  parkland, etc.  I don't know much about the area, myself.  I've spent most of my Spain time in cities.  I only know the area around the White Towns Road for nature, and at that, we really only drove through.  

    If you're into white water rafting, which I would have thought there might be some in the mountains,. I just read where the only place they have tours in Spain is in the Green Coast, near Santander and the like, but hiking, and camping and the like must be very popular in Catalunya.


  2. I studies abroad in Barcelona, and although it has many things...great nightlife, beaches and museums...it is not a "nature" hotspot.
