Manchester City’s midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Barry-c14423 has gone on to admit that his team had started to panic in the match against Reading, but their nerves settled down, once Barry scored the winner in injury time.
City went into their game against Reading, looking to come out on top. The team also felt that the match was going to be a rather easy one, considering how Reading aren’t having the best of runs at the moment.
However, that didn’t prove to be the case in the game, as the Manchester based team failed to find the back of the net for ninety minutes.
With City feeling like they might just end up dropping points, Barry managed to score a very late goal in the game, as he helped his side take all three points from the game.
"I am relieved and delighted at the same time to get a goal that late," Barry told reporters.
"You are starting, probably, to panic, thinking we are going to drop some big points at home again."It is difficult, especially when you don't get the breakthrough early. The longer the game goes on the more you could see the Reading players growing in confidence.”
"They started to believe they could keep us out for the 90 minutes - even towards the end they were believing they could maybe get the winning goal."
There were claims that Barry had committed a foul in the buildup to the goal. When addressing those claims, the City midfielder and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international went on to state:
"At the time I felt I just got up and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nicky-Shorey-c27735 was just standing there.”
"I probably went over the top of him. I'm delighted the referee hasn't seen it as a foul."
City seem to be playing like a team that wants to go out there and prove a point. The team needs to go on and fight it out to win as many games as they can, irrelevant of how they do so.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 and his men have proven time and time again that they are going to go all the way to try and retain their league title and should they continue to edge out their opponents, they might just end up with back to back Premier League trophies.
