Baseball vs softball pitching?

Question

For those of you who know baseball and softball pitching, I would like an honest answer of which one reaches the batter the fastest. Baseball pitches average 92 and softball is about 65 but keep in mind softball is a much closer distance...

i actually have had several discussions like this with members of my baseball team at school... although every baseball jock in the world thinks hitting a sophball ball would be cake for them after hitting a baseball i would disagree... i'd be willing to bet they'd all strike out actually.... i say this because the ball is one twice the size which means it requires more force to hit it not that it is easier to hit... and second a sophball when thrown comes up at you where as a baseball sinks unless its a submarine pitch but thats another story... well i just realized this doesn't actually answer your question... i think that a very well thrown sophball and a very well thrown baseball will appear to come at close to the same speed because a sophball is much closer or if anything a sophball will seem faster just because it is bigger and gets there alot quicker... i do also belive that neither a girl used to hitting sophballs or a guy used to hitting baseballs could switch over and easily do the other...

I was playing softball at school.

And i got hit in the boob and cried!!

if you put it into perspective if someone threw low 80's fast ball and lets say a veteran batter was on the plate. And you were on a softball field the 80 mph pitch would look like a mid 90's fast ball because it is that much closer.
