Basic spanish question?

Hi just wanted to ask some questions on basic spanish.

1. What is the difference between ¿Y tú? and ¿Y a ti?

2. What is the difference between ¿En qué trabajas? and ¿Qué trabajas?

3. What is the difference between ¿En dónde vives? and ¿Dónde vives?

1. i dont think there isnt really a difference. "y tu?" is like "and you?" and "y a ti?" is like "and (then directing to the specific "you")

3. "en donde vives?" is "in where do you live?" and "donde vives" is basically "where do you live?"

means= And you?

and

¿y a ti?

means= what about you?

¿En que Trabajas?

means= What´s your job?

and

¿Que trabajas?

means= what are you working in?

¿En donde vives?

means= Where do you live?

and

¿Donde vives?

means= Where do you live?

yes! it´s just another way to say it...

that means u can say it both ways..

1. "¿Y tú?" is generally used when asking something that just involves the person "Yo, tú, él..." and the verb. For example: "Tengo mucha tarea hoy ¿Y tú?" (I have a lot of homework to do, what about you?). The answer will involve just the person and the verb, or, also, just a short answer like "Sí, no": "No, hoy no tengo tarea" (No, I don't have homework to do today).

"¿Y a ti?" is used in the same conditions but when you use also forms of the person like "Me, te, le...". For example: "Me gusta mucho ver llover, ¿Y a ti?" (I like so much to see it raining, what about you?). The answer would be also a simple "Sí or no" or a more complete answer.

2. I haven't heard "¿Qué trabajas?" a lot...and "¿En qué trabajas?" just mean "¿What do you work at?". That would be a question expecting you to answer what is your job, as well when you are doing, for example, a school work.

3. The meaning is exactly the same for both. As an additional information, some people use "¿A dónde vives?", which is not correct.

I'm sorry for not being more specific, it is hard to explain something you just use =P
