k so my friend told me that there are two types of carry the one where its kinda like double dribble and he said that if when u dribble that the ball goes above your sholder that is carry aswell

is this true if so where does it say so and does it say in the nba rule book where

you can dribble the ball as high as you want- as long as your hand is over the ball and your not gripping the ball - like palming it
