I'm planning on going to collage, i'm a junior so i don't have much time, i live in San Diego,CA.

My brother wants me to go to another university outside of California, outside of california want to go to the university of Nevada in Reno so i can study Euskera (Basque) and study abroad to Spain. The reason was that my last name came from the basque language. The language is very inturiging to me.

Originally, i also want to go to SDSU to learn Russian and study abroad to Russia . My reason for this is because i'm interested in Russian history and culture...I have my world history class to thank for that.

I can't decide

Basque or Russian?

Study at San Diego State or University of Nevada?

Sadly, its hard to decide, Fell free to help me, Thank you

  1. If I were you, I'd probably choose Russia. Basque is only spoken in the Pyreenee Mountains of Spain, and probably only by a few hundred thousand people...maybe one-eighth the population of a city like San Diego. Also, most people don't know what Basque is----I had to look it up on Google---so it probably won't benefit you to learn Basque as it may to learn about Russia.

I also find Russia's culture and history quite interesting (however sad it is). My World Geography class this year taught me a lot of how Russia came to be including its reign of czars, the Soviet Union, etc. Although I don't know Basque very well, I think Russia has more history to tell and would be more interesting (to me at least).
