Bates Jump Saddle?

i think i am going to go with a bates saddle for the choise of my new saddle. is this good?

What kind of bates would be the best for a jump saddle

i have a bates saddle and i love it. i would get one if you can they're expensive but as long as you keep it in good condition you should be fine. get one with a kind of deep seat. but not a hunt-seat saddle.

I dont really like the bates saddle. They are like collegiates (spelling?) but more expensive. A good non used one would start around 2000. My friend from the barn bought one for 3000 witch is unbelievably high. But if you have the money go for it.

i cant say personally, but ive heard bates hands down is the best.

my instructor still has her bates jump saddle since 1993

I dont like bates... thewy are not very good. they are so expensive only becuase of the name. I would go with marcel toulouse..... they are about half the price and they are amazing.... i have one and i absoloutley love it!

if you can get some tack/saddle catalouges alot of the jump saddle companies do a try out program. You pick a saddle and they ship it and you try it for a week-these are mostly the upper $$$$ priced saddles but i knwo that Dover has the program.
