  1. they don't really need a bath, but a good brushing is essential. rabbits can't throw up, so if they get a hair balls, they could choke. and yes, nails should be trimmed, but by a professional. like cats and dogs, you could cut to much and cause pain and bleeding if you don't know what you are doing.

  2. They do not need a bath unless they get diarea and its a real mess.  We have 20 rabbits and will give a "butt bath"lol , if it gets really bad.  Yes, you must trim the nails.  If you are uncomfortable, your vet can do this.

  3. no,you should not give your rabbits a bath.like you said, they tend to l**k themselves to keep their body clean.rabbits easily catch cold and sickness when exposed to a wet temperature so you must never bath it.you could clean some parts of the rabbit if the rabbit is desperately dirty but not the whole rabbit itself.they have a weak immune system compared to other animals.

trim the nails whenever you spot it long.this will be hygienic for the rabbit and without long nails, they will not hurt themselves when at play.the growth of rabbit nails depends mainly on the breed.some rabbit breed will have faster growth of nails than others so i cannot specify a complete schedule for trimming the nails.at first, ask a groomer of animals to do it for you and watch the groomer.so next time, you could do it by yourself.

    i hope i helped!

  4. If she looks clean, then you don't have to bathe her.  Give her a good brushing at least once a week though to prevent mats and control shedding.  If her nails look like they are bothering her, get a groomer to trim them.  Don't do it yourself because you could easily nick a vein and she could have significant blood loss.

  5. Dont give your rabbit a bath! it causes stress, and it takes a very long time for them to dry! Only give your rabbit a bath if your vet tells you to do so, if they are sick or overheated.  Thats the only time the vet will tell you.

It's very important to get your rabbits nails trimmed, too. Ask your vet to trim them...(I have a rabbit, and when they tried to trim his nails, he litteraly screamed!!!!)

  6. nope they do that all themselves. the clean themselves and if you let it dig it trims their nails where they are not long and sharp.
