Bathing guinea pigs...?

Question

my piggy was in his play pin and he peed and when i came int the room it looked like he sat in in and his feet were rather wet. its been probably a month sense i bathed him can i bathe him again. (yes or no answers with detail please) i hope you can help. thanks

It is perfectly fine as long as you use a mild soap and don't bathe him every day. A guinea pig has natural oils that keep their skin moist and it is ok to bathe them just not every day. I hope this helps!!!

Yes

Guinea pigs should not be bathed often but if they dirty themselves up like yours did, you should. I would reccomend just cleaning off the places that are especially dirty right now, like his butt and feet. That way the rest of him can keep their natural oils. Just make sure you put him in a warmer environment until he is completely dry. That way he won't get sick from being cold or anything else bad like that.

bathing is soo fun i learnt my guinea pig is increadibly good at jumping

i normally invite friends around and say guess what were going to do.......bath my guinea pigs

as long as you dry them properrly and don;''t let them get cold they should be ok but weekley etc is proberally to often as washes out natural oils from coat
