Bathing suit in vinegar?

I just got a new bathing suit and I heard that you can like wash it in vinegar or something so the colors don't get bleached from the chlorine in my hot tub. Is that true? If so, how much vinegar do you wash it in?

  1. vinegar is for swimmers hair it stops the oil glands from making new colors due to chemicals in chlorine. I dont think that will make any different in swim suits, unless it is a fastskin (racing suit) I'm not exactly sure if that works, but i would get some more information and not try it until you are posotive. Too risky.

  2. I've never heard that. Strange.

  3. Very good chance of ruining a suit with vinegar.

Best is to soak in cold water ASAP after use, leave it in the cold water for at least 30 minutes, then drip dry.
