if you mean run your car off it ? Then no, i wouldn't b/c that would put a load on your battery that would drag away from your audio. Also, the battery for you car wont give you more power, the electricity power for your car is from your alternator. The battery is just to start the car, the alternator is what keeps the batter at its peak. You can get a high output alternator though.

man just put a Kinetik HC 1800 under  the hood and 2 in te trunk and run them all parallel hot and ground and ground all the batteries to the frame get the biggest alt you can find and bang

Based on the ratings, the Kinetik battery should provide more power.  (It is rated 2250 amps, 102 amp-hours, vs. 55 amp-hours on the optima).

All this means is that your stereo will run longer if you have the car turned off.  If you're planning a bad-a$$ system, odds are that your alternator is going to be the weak link.  

As for your question on performance, there are typically zero gains from moving to an Optima.  They look nice, and sometimes you might be able to run a smaller/lighter battery, but that's about it.
