Forest, definitely forest.  Lived on the coast for far too long.  But then again I suppose once I get to my forest I will want a beach.  Can't I have both?

Go to Northern California near the redwood forest...Redwoods need to live within 50 miles of coast. This way you get the beach and the forest....
