  1. I think you should get someone to turn it off and on, just to be safe. I know they should be ok for 3 days, but I'm not sure about 5. So, just to be on the safe side, go ahead and have someone turn it off every now and then.

  2. Bottom line: Get a babysitter.

  3. I would never leave a reptile alone that long. And dont leave the light on straight like that. lol

Um...if someone is staying home then have them keep and eye on it and turn it off when it needs to. hahah

Or have your friend watch over it.

  4. I probably would not do that, I would have someone at least drop by to check on him & turn the light off at night then back on in the a.m.

You could also buy a timer for the light, but I would still have someone come over at least once a day to feed him & make sure hes hasn't knocked over his water bowl & stuff like that..

Check the pet stores and vets some will offer boarding services for you

  5. It doesn't sound like a good idea to leave a light on that produces heat on for 5 days straight because you might come home to a burned up place. Your lizard will be the first to go!

  6. If you can't get someone to check in on him to turn the light on and off, just buy a simple timer to plug the lamps into.  I use these anyway on all my reptile tanks with lights because it helps to create a more natural day/night cycle and I don't have to worry about being there at specific times to turn them on and off.

  7. I have left my guys for 4 days 3 nights but if over that I try to get a friend to check up on them.  We also leave the lizards in night mode (we use night cycle bulbs) so they will stay calm and warm.  We leave extra water and feed a large meal. I would try to get someone to look in on day three to make sure no bulbs have blown and that they still have water.

  8. I would have someone that you know take care of them...

  9. If you have someone you trust I would have them turn it off you do not want to mess up his internal time clock

  10. They'd fry.  Find somebody to take care of them.

  11. http://www.reptiledepot.com/thermometers...

try the timer thing it sould work

  12. I leave my basking light on all day/all night, i use a red bulb, so they dont see the light...

but dont leave it for that long.

turn off the uvb light tho.
