  1. How much are sandfire bearded dragon (Babies) Only sandfire.......    Bob Mailloux breeds a few different "Sandfire" dragons.  If you're referring to the Sandfire Red, then expect to pay anywhere between $200 - $300 depending upon age and gender.

What Size tank do i need for adult size?.  Adult beardies, including Sandfires, need a tank that is at least 6 feet long and 15 inches tall.

Will it be stressed if i had it as a baby in the adult size tank?  Hatchlings and juveniles can live in an adult sized tank without stress.  I've had several hatchlings (3" - 5" long) that started out in 4' - 6' tanks..... they're fine.

What do they eat?.  Babies eat live insects mostly, while adults need mostly salads.

How long would it take to get to adult size if i feed it every day twice a day?  Careful on your feeding schedule!!  Beardies reach full adult size in 18 mos - 2 yrs.

What kind of subsrate do i need?  Hatchlings do best on plain white paper towels.  Juveniles/Adults can be kept on calci-sand or any non-silica sand.  Some keepers say no sand is appropriate due to ingestion potential leading to impaction.  I've kept beardies on calcium based for many years without any problems at all.

Would they make a great pet? I think beardies make great pets..... I own many!!

You will need a very good UVB/UVA heat lamp which will run about 50-70 bucks.

Visit the Sanfire Ranch website and order direct if you want to ensure you "really" get a Sandfire dragon....accept no imitations...... Bob's dragons are far superior to the many "knock-offs":  http://www.sandfiredragonranch.com/anima...

If you're lucky enough to have a reptile show in your area, you'll find the best prices there.......

  2. go to googel type in bearded dragon stats and facts and that will tell you all the care sheet stuff and i think sand dire beardies are around 60 75 dollars so not very expensive they eat fruit and veggies the site will give you all the rest you need to know about bearde dragons look on wikipedia to learn the natrural history about them

  3. First of all, the term Sandfire is an elusive marketing term, created by Sandfire Dragon Ranch. The Bearded Dragon you're thinking of is the Inland Bearded Dragon or Pogona Vitticeps (P. Vitticeps).

They come in a wide vareity of colors. Anywhere from a dull gray to bright yellow. They also vary in price from 25-200 dollars per lizard depending on the source and blood lines.

The smallest tank size for an adult bearded dragon is a 50 gallon tank. It's better to start with one tank, and the baby would be fine in a 50 gallon tanks.

Bearded dragons, babies, juveniles and adults all eat crickets and veggies. A Good list of safe vegetables is here: http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.co...

It would probably take 1 year for him to reach full adult size.

The best kind of substrate is non-adhesive shelf liner or non-slip slate tile. These work best because crickets can't hide and they can't ingest it.
