I am just about to make my GCSE choices, what should i choose if I want to become a police officer? How old can you become a police officer at, and what qualifications do you need? What is the pay like, is it enough to live off? My auntie is a police officer and I really want to follow in her footsteps, but should i go for it? I love playing hockey, I play everyday, and i'm very healthy so would i still be able to play hockey when not working? Any other information would really help, thanks.

  1. Depends what service or constabulary you go for. The MET in London start on more money due to London weighting. Around 27k starting plus loads of overtime. The main GCSE's to have are math and English although these are not necessary as long as you can pass the entrance exams. The police have a good sports club and have hockey teams.
