How does one go about becomming a cycle courrier around central London? I'm looking for something part time as I'm a student and want to earn some money. I see lots of them in and around central london during the week and want to know whats the best way of finding a job doing that?

Also does anyone know what the pay would be like?

  1. It wil depend on which company you go with. its paid on a per delivery system, increasing from postcode to postcode. in other words you only get paid the price of each delivery you do. hard work on rainy days.

  2. Get a master map off London and read it by that I don't mean looking at it,studie it, you can earn what you need to within reason.I dispatched on a motor bike over ten years ago and could hit the grand a week with a good controller.

  3. You have to apply to courier companies. You can find their addresses on the yellow pages. What i heard is they make good money. The more you deliver the more you earn money.

The downside is, its a very risky job.Accident is very common among pedal cycle and motorcycle courier

  4. well it's a tricky one, since a lot of business is done via email these days

so unless its very important documents or parcels the work would be a lot less.

make sure you get good insurance also, drivers in London are a bit crazy
