I want to get my belly pierced on my birthday (November) i'm turning 15 I live in Long Island in NY. Can I get my belly pierced if i'm 15 and I go with my mom?

Also, how much does it hurt? Is it really painful?

What hurts more when they're putting the needle in or after its done?

  1. it doesn't hurt at all, and yes you can definitely get it pierced with a parent, just make sure to take very good care of it, try vitamin a&d ointment to keep it clean and healthy.

  2. It hurts more when the needle goes in and after it's just sore for a little while.  It's a pretty quick pain.  It will probably take a while for it to heal completely.

  3. I'm not sure about the age thing because i live in england but i think if your mom goes with you it's fine,

the worst pain is when the needle goes through which is like 2 seconds and then its a bit painful when they push the bar in, this whole thing takes like 3 minutes, so the pain is worth it i think if you really want it pierced, just try and keep your self calm the more nervous you are the more tense you will be so it will hurt more, it's probably not going to be as back as you think it will be, if you need to know anything else feel free to email me, Good Luck!!!

  4. It's different for everyone, but for me it was after wards. Since there is swelling, and what not. Also here's some tips for what to use and what not to use if you get it done.

    Acceptable Healing Aids and Products

Tea Tree Oil - This soothing liquid cools and refreshes an irritated piercing. Use only high quality tea tree oil that has been diluted with distilled water.

Emu Oil - A universal healing product that has been discovered to also produce exceptional results when healing a piercing.

H2Ocean - Although some would call it "glorified saline solution," most do report excellent healing results with this product.

Saline Solution - Less expensive and more readily available than most other products, saline solution is very effective in soothing and healing a new piercing. It's also an acceptable substitute for sea salt soaks.

    Do NOT Use:

Hydrogen Peroxide - Hydrogen peroxide kills bacteria, but it also kills the white blood cells attempting to heal your piercing. It can cause irritation and lengthen overall healing time.

Rubbing Alcohol - Alcohol will dry the skin and irritate the raw piercing, which could actually lead to infection.

Glyoxide - This is a product that contains hydrogen peroxide and hinders healing rather than aiding it.

Ear Care Solution - Solutions that are provided by jewelry boutiques and department store piercers usually contain alcohol, hydrogen peroxide and other harmful chemicals that only aggravate a new piercing.

Ointments - Antibacterial ointments or similar products only clog pores and/or kill good cells trying to heal the piercing.

  5. Yeah you can. If you have someone 18 years or older.

It doesn't hurt much, but that's my opinion, everyone has a different pain tolerance.

In my opinion, after the piercing hurt more than when I actually got the piercing done.

  6. I went when I was 14 and yes of course it hurts but after it is fine. Keep it clean and don't play with it!
