my bellybutton ring is almost three months old. i feel like its receeding or something because when i touch the skin between the two jewels (like the part that the bar is through) i can feel the bar. i dont know if i could ever do this before it just feels like there is less skin pierced than before. it doesnt hurt its not red or anything, it feels fine. any ideas? :( what are signs that your bellybutton ring is rejecting?

is it ok to feel the bar through the skin?

the top hole is a little red around it but doesnt hurt

  1. It sounds like it is rejecting. If the skin has become thinner over the bar, that is a sure-fire way to tell that you have rejection. This isn't okay. Chances are your body is going to keep rejecting it. It may stop, but I doubt it. It doesn't always hurt or have other symptoms.

I would take it out, heal the hole, and have it pierced under the scar tissue in a few months. The scar tissue will help hold in the piercing.

  2. Yeah it sounds like it's rejecting.  That's exactly what happens.  Rejecting could mean a couple different things like there's too much pressure on the jewelry so it's slowly coming out, or your skin right there isn't right for the jewelry.

  3. i feel my bar bewteen but i always have since its been pierced.

you might have had that but never really realized it.

but if your not sure call the place you got it peirced and ask thema bout it
