Berbatov to united this weekend?

Question

I'm a united fan and am looking forward to the season opener,But I'm a bit concerned about the berbatov transfer.

First off,is he worth over twenty five mill?. and is he gonna fit in the united squad well and he is well known for sulking..I think he is great player but i hope we are not wasting our money,when we could easily of spent that money on someone like hunterlaar or david villa.

I do trust fergies judgement though as he seems to be right most of the time like when he took nearly a year to sign tevez,which paid off very well.

Although the prospect of ronaldo,rooney,tevez and berbatov in the squad would be the envy of every team in the country if not the world.

Yes Berbatov is coming to United in 48 hours. He is flying to Manchester to do the paper work. Yes I think he his worth over 25 million. I trust Fergie's decisions because they always seem to be right. I think he would play in the opener against Newcastle United as Rooney doesn't seem to be fit yet after that virus he caught in Nigeria. Also Berbatov is at the same esteem of David Villa and yet even better than Huntelaar.

of cors he will go and i hav no idea how ur team will work...  maybe 4-3-3... rooney, tevez, berba... then  ronaldo, hargreaves and carrick... he is worth the money but it is a shame to see him go after spending so little time at spurs... but i guess all footballers really are just very , very greedy and i dont suppose he will play every match....

btw i dont think you would have got david villa otherwise you bet your bottom dollar fergie would have signed him by now!! he is the best striker in the world!

firstly... no he isnt worth 25 mill... but thats what the market dictates and if united want him then thats the price. personally i dont think they need him. they will win the prem again this year without any more signings!

I think he will fit the team in the mold of a Van Nistelrooy.  Very much a target forward.  Is this a bit of succession planning on Fergie's part, setting up the team to play differently once Ronaldo leaves next summer?

Berbatov and Robbie Keane were probably the best 1-2 attacking duo in the Premier League last season.

Now if you want to partner Berbatov with Ronaldo and Rooney, United would be unstoppable.

25 million is too much for Berbatov, but I think if they don't make the move, Chelsea will win the league.

Honestly I would rather have Huntelaar, then Berbatov.

The formation would be along the lines of a 4312

with Teves and Berbatov up front, Rooney alittle behind like Gerrard, with Ronaldo, Carrick/Hargreeves, giggs.

the transfer fee doesn't really come into it as everyone pays silly money for players, I do think he will fit into the squad in terms of playing and i think he will do really well and will bring out the best in Rooney which we haven't really seen since Ruud left so he will be a very good signing but in terms of his attitude he is definitely not right for us as you said he has a tendency to sulk (he reminds me very much of Ruud in that respect) but hopefully Sir Alex will sort him out, as i have said many times now i really feel would should have been trying to sign Huntelaar or Santa Cruz, but it looks pretty certain that we will get Berbatov now which isn't the end of the world as long as Sir Alex can sort his attitude out he will be an excellent signing.

looks like he is going ... but do you really need him i doubt it , he sulks , blames everyone else if he shoots and it hits the corner flag you watch him blame someone else as for the price that is what you have to pay theses days but your money would be better spent else where , you will however get someone who's close control is phenomenal..........

Berbatov will be an excellent signing. Guaranteed to score 20 goals a season. May even become the top scorer.
