Best Kayak Under $420??

9.5 ft ish For Recreation Mostly, Light river , want good value, may do it a lot. Beginner, non fisher. Dont want sit on top style. Im Male 6 ft. 170lbs. Want it to be liftable. Don't want to upgrade for 5 years. They all look so much alike. I believe that if you like the product, you use it more and am willing to pay more if its worth it. Any advice as to which one to buy (and maybe why) would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think you can find a 9.5 foot for that price unless it's used. As far as the kind or type it's really personal preference and comfort. The main thing I highly suggest is going to boat demos where they will let you try out the kayaks for free. Try a lot of different kinds. And try the same boats at several different demos. I've tried boats one time and liked, but the next time I tried it and I hated it. If you want to keep the same boat for 5 years make sure you acutally like it. So after all this the main thing is be sure to try them. Just like a car, you don't know what your getting until you take it for a test paddle. Good Luck and happy paddling!
