Most clubs in London are very expensive with high covers and expensive drinks, but if you hang out around Piccadilly Circus during the day you will run into people handing out fliers with special deals and coupons for specific clubs.

One of my favorite clubs in London is the O’Neills near Chinatown.  O’Neills is a pub chain throughout the UK, but this specific location (as well as some others) turn into a club-like atmosphere in the evening.  When I lived in London we would get to O’Neills before 9pm, when it is still in normal bar mode, and that way we escaped paying cover and just hung out until the club got busier.  http://www.oneills.co.uk/home.php  The location of the specific O’Neill’s I’m referencing is 33/37 Wardour Street, W1D 6PU.

If you’re after a bar with a young atmosphere you might enjoy the Sports Café in Piccadilly Circus. http://www.thesportscafe.net/ This is an Americanized bar that plays American sports and is always busy and fun.
