  1. holes

that was my favorite back in 2ed or 3rd grade

  2. Robert Mucsch he's very good at writing books that make people laugh i can remember reading these books myself.

  3. Depends on what you are looking for. Are you thinking for a student's library or maybe books that you use for instruction.

Popular books in my classroom library for my 2nd graders: (granted I have some high readers too)

    1.  Fairy Seires - Indigo Fairy, Jewel Fairies.

    2.  Marvin Redpost Books by Louis Sachar

    3.  Ivy and Bean Books - great girl friendships.

    4.  The World According to Humphrey

    5.  Katie Kazoo Books

    6.  Clementine - absolutely hilarious. Similar to Junie B. Jones but I think the grammar is much better in this book.

    7.  Nate the Great and Olivia Smart Books

    8. My Weird School

As for teacher resources, my favorite read alouds and favorite authors are:

    Robert Munsch

Cynthia Rylant and Eve Bunting are gods in my lessons - I use them to model reader's workshop and writers workshop lessons.

  4. That was the year I started reading the Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder... Little House in the Big Woods, Little House on the Prarie, etc.

    Charlotte's Web
