Best digital cameras for concerts/travel?

I am looking at buying a new digital camera, and I have looked through alot of websites, and I am honestly having a tough time choosing the features I will need, and ones that would just be "nice to have". Listed below I have some of the features I would like to have, but not all of them do I necessarily need. Can anyone give me an idea what I should look for in ensuring I get what I want, and perhaps a few models to check out? I would prefer a small camera to fit in my pocket..

-Better than 5mp

-fast image capture (important for me)

-5x or better zoom (would prefer better..)

-decent video quality (not a need, but it would be nice-what should I look for for video quality??)

-durable (a bit clumsy at times, tough frame would be nice)

-different settings/options (in case I get more into digital photography)

-tilting LCD

-underwater capable (sounds interesting, but probably not needed)

  1. this camera is awesme.

    http://www.target.com/Kodak-EasyShare-12...

  2. Shooting concerts:

The camera I use is the D300 (12MP sensor) with a 24-70 mm f/2.8 when shooting on stage. (It is one of the cameras I travel with, its big brother the D3 and four lenses)

    For video, I use a Canon XL-2 (3 - 3.1MP sensors - Red, Green, Blue).

Underwater, hopefully not at concert,  I use a Nikonos 35 mm.

Look at the new SW series Olympus or new Pantex for a good P&S camera that is also able to shoot underwater

  3. my suggestion

    go to yahoo shopping

    digital cameras

    digital camera GUIDE

be sure to check titles on the left side

the guide should answer your questions

  4. just a suggestion, most concerts don't allow professional cameras, so i would get a regular point and shoop camera, perhaps an hp photosmart, but for travel you definatly want an slr!
