I have been using frontline on my cat for about a year and it seems to have stopped working ( it has been applied correctly and when it should) and I have just phoned the vets and they told me that fleas are becoming immune to frontline now. They wont tell me any other flea products until I take cat to the vets, which I cant do for a couple of days (typical!) I think vets usually sell about 4 different types, whats the best? please help!!

  1. Shave all its fur off

  2. Whatever you do, make sure you double it up with a spray, or something that will kill the fleas in your furniture, clothes, carpet.

    If it's an inside cat.

    Plenty of good answers here.

  3. There are lots of options, but all of them require a prescription from the vet.  There is Advantage, Revolution, and a new one called Promeris.  They all work well and are reliable, it's simply a matter of which one your vet thinks is best for your situation (indoor/outdoor, exposed to fleas via a screened porch, etc.).

I've heard also many stories about fleas becoming immune to Frontline.

  4. I have the same problem!!  Frontline does seem to be the only one that works for about a year then they get immune. I think its like antibiotics!!

Trouble with going to the vets is that it is very expensive. Have you tried the "silent cat spray" yet?. Its worked on our cat but you do have to apply it exactly as it says other wise the cat will become ill (ours did bless her).  Good luck

  5. There's only 2 other treatments that i would use

    STRONGHOLD and ADVANTAGE

and out of them i would say Stronghold is the better one
