What is the best hostel in Munich in terms of closeness to the city's sights and the easiness to reach it from any where in the city?

I stayed at Jaegers.  It wasn't bad at all and right by the hauptbahnhof.  Check out www.hostelworld.com look at the rating and ask people.

those would be the top hotels in the Munich city area:

Vier Jahreszeiten and Bayerischer Hof.

Might be better and lots cheaper to visit the holiday inn in the leopoldstr. though. Thats 5 minutes from "Schwabing" which is where things happen in Munich.

Schwabing is also just a 20 minute wlk or 5 minute drive to the city center.
