  1. Since we don't know what your Price Range is here are listings in Different areas...I personally love the Kapalua Area.

  2. What bothers me about Wailuku Heights is how perfectly most of those houses are placed to catch the trade winds--high on a slope, facing northeast, and they are sealed with plate glass windows for air conditioning--which they wouldn't need if the windows weren't sealed. The folks who built those houses had no idea where they were, or more likely, built the houses especially for people who have no idea where they are. Just creepy.

Puunene, there aren't many houses, really. Waihee, some Hawaiian Home Lands, but not much in the way of rentals, or commercial zones, for that matter.  I guess everybody there goes shopping in Wailuku.

Maalaea might be very convenient, depending on where you work and how you like to spend your spare time. Waikapu is nice, but it's going to grow very quickly in the next ten years or so. Not sure what it will be like by then. Kahului seems OK. Heavy traffic, though. Happy Valley seems to have some problems, but also a strong sense of working class community.I can't answer about the other places.

  3. in happy valley
