Best secondary in the NFL?

I think it's the Jaguars. #1 CB Rashean Mathis, #2 CB Drayton Florence, #3 CB Scott Starks, #4 Cb Will Peterson who changed his last name to James. And the safties, FS Reggie Nelson and SS Brian Williams

Difficult to pinpoint, imo.  So much of a secondary's success is having a good pass rush up front.

Jacksonville's and San Francisco's are pretty good.  Baltimore's impressive too - Chris McAllister, Samari Rolle, Ed Reed, Dawan Landry.  Landry is just ok, but the CBs and FS are very good.

I'd say the Ravens as of now. Jags and Pats or Okay. The Cowboys back is shaping up. With three 2007 Pro Bowlers CB Terrance Newman and Safety Ken Hamlin. Safety Roy Williams is little OverRated. But With CB Anthony Henry at #2. And with a number one pick in Mike Jenkins and a Former Number One In Adam Jones as the #3 and 4th CB's they look good. (Barring injury and Jones rust, and past)

i would say the eagles may be the best now, any team that can sit lito shepard has to be pretty strong.

The Eagles have 4 Pro Bowlers in their secondary, I don't think anyone else can beat that.

As for the Jaguars, trust the Eagles fan, Will James is terrible.  Reggie and Rashean are great, but the rest are just average.

I think the Raiders deserve to be mentioned here, DeAngelo Hall, Nnamdi Asomugha, Michael Huff, and Gibril Wilson are all proven and very talented.

I hate to be the homer, but my vote is for the Eagles.

*BTW:  Notice how no one here is picking the Buccaneers?  They were SI's pick for best secondary unit in the last issue.  What a load of c**p!

Not saying they're the best, but I think the Bears deserve a mention with Vasher, Tillman, Brown and McGowan.    They at least have the cover-2 down to a science.
