do u recognise sehwag innings against S.A as best innings ever for a score of 300 runs

  1. Sehwag!! of course he was so fast , scored it in less than 270 balls......Its the best 300+ innings by a batsman!


  2. Sehwag s the most entertaining.but i'd go wid lara s 400 in 4th test against England after having lost the 1st 3 in their own backyard.

    but also Lara.

    Sehwag, unlike Lara cant carry his team. Lara on many occasions was the life blood of his team. Lara has a passion for big scores, 375,400,501...and 9 double tons, with a ton on every continent....

    BTW- lara comes in no 3, he has scored 23% of his teams output, only second to Sir george headley and Sir Don Bradman. He was the fastest to reach 9000 and 11000 runs...

    Compare sehwag with that. Lara has 34 tons. Lara has 19 scores of 150 or more, a record. .....

    Sehwag has only some 4000 test runs...and is getting bald...fast....:)

    Lara and tendulkar cant be compared to Sehwag.

  4. Yes, that was an amazing innings. Full of Sehwag brilliance. It was the most entertaining 300 i'd ever seen. it was full of all the shots in the Book. Pure Sehwag Brilliance!!!

    EDIT: U r so right... All the additional details are absolutely correct... Hayden's 380 was against Zimbabwe for goodness sakes!!! Sehwags was an amazing innings and was so entertaining

    dont criticise others response to what the facts say.

    you cant say that it was the best of all. pitches in india are flat and the grounds are small....if you compare LARA,BRADMAN,SACHIN,HUTTON AND jack hobbs against sehwags 300.....it will blow it away...

  7. No sorry i dont..Yes i sound like it was a great knock but i think Matthew Hayden's 380 in Perth in 2003/04 was the best..

    And also Brian Lara's 400* in the same year was great...

    EDIT:You call 380 worthless?..You need to seriously look at yourself mate..

    I was'nt 'bagging' Sehwag by no means,i am saying in my oppinion it was not the best i have ever seen..Thanks for the T/D...

  9. Virender Sehwag's 309 against Pakistan was better. More boundries were hit!

  10. Sehwags 319 against South Africa was by far the best 300 run innings ever.

    He played against a world class side of South Africa, who have by far the best pace attack in the world.

    His hundred was by far the quickest 300 ever, and it was an absolute treat to watch. He murdered all the bowlers, without out any effort.

    Laras 400* was a selfish innings, and it was no where near as entertaining as Sehwags.

    Theres no need to discredit Lara or Tendulkar.

    He is a one hit wonder.

    If sehwag faced younis and akram would he survive? Dale steyn is some boer who came from a farm.

    If ponting faced steyn, steyn would die.

    Sehwag is not god nor will he be the best. But you can say pontings going to be the best....

  12. no, it was made on a dead flat wicket which gave absolutely nothing to the bowlers, i would rate Laras 375 (not the 400 as that was also on an absolute featherbed) Sobers 365, Huttons 364, Hammonds 336 and Bradmans 334 all higher than either of Sehwags triple tons

    the patriot in me really would have like to have included Hayden's 380 in this list, but just couldnt, the standard of bowling he faced was too low, i mean Streak at the time was a great bowler, but he just had no one else behind him

    just because a score took longer to make, doesnt mean its not as good, if anything its harder cos the more balls you face the more chance you have of getting out and you have to work harder for your runs

    i'll give you another one, Hanif Mohommads 337 to save pakistan from defeat in the fourth innings on a wearing pitch, thats got to be miles harder to make a big score than that featherbed Sehwag got to bat on!!

  14. no,his one of best inning i'll seen that he played 309 against Pakistan,254 against Pakistan & many more.
