  1. try oxycontin! it feels amazing and no hangovers!! if you dont like that just smoke some weed..peace <3 & :]

  2. Make the decision to stop drinking it and find another hobby!

  3. to stop buying alcohol

  4. Get pregnant and the smell alone may make you want to vomit!

  5. Go to AA Meetings.  I have 3 people in my life who quit drinking with the help of AA.  There are meetings everywhere, every night of the week.   Besides the meetings, they changed their lifestyles.  They no longer spend much time with the people they drank with.   They also got healthier by exercise and taking better care of themselves.  You'll be healthier and will probably live longer, too.

  9. Wow, I'm an expert on this!  I started off years ago, about 10, drinking.  I drank liquor all of the time and got addicted.  Then, I switched to wine and then malt liquor and then beer and then light beer.  I am not on a lighter beer.  I have cut back to 8/day.  Not that good, but it's better than the time my BAC was .56.  I am getting there, little by little, day by day.  I only recently decided to quit.  Every time I switched to a lesser strength was due to a physical or social problem that made me want to still drink, but not get AS drunk.  Now I want to stop.  Of course, REHAB is the best way, but don't pick it back up.

  10. dont drink

  11. Not go into a pub where you are tempted by it and don't keep any in at home - resist the urge to buy it!

  12. Why? It's good for you.

  13. Just stop drinking it or buying it. I did it several years ago from over a litre a day of Scotch with no ill effects.

  14. stay away from it.

  15. In my experience I tried changing drinks, eating before I went out, more exercise, reading self help books, etc etc etc.  But I couldn't stop on my own so I now go to AA, 5 years and 7 months later I'm still sober and its been the best thing I have ever done xx

  16. I'm in the same predicament.  Time to quit.

My problem:  I can't stand AA.  I don't like how it's run.  I don't agree with the concept.  And I don't want to go to meetings for the rest of my life!!

So, yesterday, I came across a link on this site to a really good site.  Except, I don't remember the link to THAT site, but I do remember the name of the site i went to from there:

Rational Recovery:  Addictive Voice Recognition Technique.

If you plug that into this site, you'll find quite a bit of information, as well.

This is a program that makes sense to me.

Maybe it will to you, as well?

    Here's the link:

  18. Depends whether you have a problem or not.

If you do, best ask your doctor for advice and help.

If not try to find other social activities which will occupy you instead of drinking.

You do need the will to stop.

    Good luck.
