I think flying is the only option to Thailand from Europe , Thailand is rich in it culture , entertainment and food.There a lot to explore when in Thailand depend which province you want to go , if you like the sun , sea and the air you can go to places like Koh Samui ,Phuket , Kho Chang , Phi Phi Island etc where these places are well known for their beaches ,if you prefer shopping ,entertainment go to Bangkok which is best for it although other prevince have these too.

In Bangkok you can visit Maboonkon(MBK) , Siam Square , Siam Paragon etc... for shopping and for culture ,you can do some temple , Grand Palace for visit..etc..There also lots of night bazaar market like Patpong , Suan Lum. If you here in weekend you can vist Chaktucak weekend market where you can find wide variety of things to buy and cheap too.

For food , I suggest you try the local cusine inthe roadside stall or in some shopping center.If you like fine dining you can go to Regent Hotel ( which I go frequently) where they serve international food or dine in cruise along the Chaopraya River.
