My betta Spaghetti wasn't acting like his normal playful self and o few days ago i noticed a fluffy looking growth on one of his gills. I immediately went to the pet store and asked them what to do. They gave me BettaFix Remedy. (Active ingredients are Melaleucca) I took it home, did a total water AND gravel change in his 1 1/2 gallon tank, and added the drops as directed. It's been three days that there has been NO improvement. Could she have sold me the wrong medicine? It says I can continue to use it for 7 days and I plan on it.

Anyone with ideas please HELP!! I don't want Spaghetti to die :'-(

  1. Spaghetti should be in a 5 gallon heated filtered tank.  Those small bowls are too easy for disease to get established in.  I've never found that those type of all in one remedies really do much.  A fluffy type of fungus is probably best treated with MarOxy.

  2. It sounds like spaghetti has ick.  Keep treating it should cure it in time.  Sorry not much more I can tell you.

  3. Does your Betta have any other type of things in its home? I would wash everything down. Keep feeding it normal and keep giving it the drops. If you don't see improvement bring it back and see if they have any other solutions. If not just let time heal it and make sure you keep its water EXTRA clean!

  4. try it for a couple more days if nothing happens then take it back to the store and say it's not working return it go to a vet and say this is going on and then they'll give u something better!! hope i helped!
