hey guys i suc big time at riding bikes cuz i have bad balance and i have to do mountain biking at skool camp so does anuone have any tips?

  1. Well I have a plan.. Get a bmx or a smaller bike (NOT MOUNTAIN BIKE) because if you fall wont be painfull.. And slowly pedal and do not be afraid when you are riding because you will NEVER FALL UNLESS YOU MAKE YOURSELF. After about 1 week you should be riding like a pro. =D


  2. Don't use training wheels.  Just get on and ride.  I taught my wife how to ride (25 years old) a few weeks ago.  I gave her two things to remember.  

    1) If you feel like you are going to fall, turn slightly the way you think you might fall.

    2) Don't panic.  As long as you feel you are in control of the bike, you will be in control of the bike.  If you get scared and freak out, you will get hurt.

    She's been riding well for about 2 months now.  The only time she had any trouble was when she panicked.  She lost her footing and rather than calmly putting her feet back on the pedals, she screamed.  The pedal hit the back of her leg and she almost fell over.  Wouldn't have happened if she stayed in control.

  3. Start off with training wheels on the back. This will help you get used to the feel off cycling but its keeping the balance for you. After you feel confident enough remove the wheels and start slowly. This does not happen over one day so it will take time. Good luck and just be confident. =]

  4. Once you get accustomed to riding, there is a chance you will really enjoy riding and it may even become a great form of excercise.

  5. !st try riding with training wheels

    then after you feel comfortable riding with those on take them off

    and hope you can ride a bike!

               The basic reason for having a bad balance on bike by you is due to fear. While riding the bike I think you are thinking that you may fall and may get hurt and due to this u r not able to maintain the balance. Am sure that once you overcome your fear you can win the mountain biking at skool camp too... just be confident while riding and if still you are facing the pblm then please stop riding the bike.

    Atleast with this grudge you have to balance the bike...
