Birthday for my Cats. :)?

Question

Its my cats birthday on the twentieth of August. There is one girl and one boy (brother and sister). I was wondering if there was such a cake that i could make for them? Or a muffin? Something extra special.. Please help :)

They actually have ice cream for cats, I just seen some the other day at the supermarket along with the human ice cream, haha... maybe they'd like that!

2 tbsp All purpose flour (preferably wholemeal flour)

1 tsp Cornstarch

1 g Baking powder

1 tbsp Catnip

1 tsp Olive oil

2 tbsp Wet canned food (I used bio-beef bites)

2 Egg yolks

Meringue:

2 Egg whites

Drops of lemon juice (or white vinegar)

1 tsp Powdered sugar



Method / 做法:

Sift flour, starch, and baking powder together in a bowl. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F. (it took my old oven 35 minutes to reach this temperature)

Vigorously whisk yolks until thick and lemon coloured. Add in olive oil and beat until thoroughly combined. Finely break the wet canned food into crumbs, then blend together with yolk mixture. Sift in flour mixture and blend until combined.

Whip the egg whites with lemon juice and icing sugar until stiff peaks form. Add one thirds of egg whites into the yolk batter and with a rubber spatula to bring up that batter from the bottom and fold it over the top. Then fold in remaining egg whites until blended. Scrape the batter into three 2-inch cake tins. (Or one 5-inch tin, and lower the oven temperature to 165C/330F and bake 20 minutes.) Bake in the preheated oven for about 17 minutes until the tops of cakes are lightly brown and when a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean. Invert cakes and cool completely onto a wire rack.
