Blackberry Curve or RIZR?

I'm getting a new phone soon from T-Mobile. The only phones that look appealing to me are the Curve 8320 and RIZR Z3. I'm not exactly sure how a Blackberry works in terms of programs (what's free, what requires Internet, etc.), but I would only be getting the basic plan- no texting or anything extra. With just a basic plan, is the Curve kind of useless, making the RIZR a better phone?

You have to get a special plan with internet and email for the blackberry. So if you don't want texting or internet I would say you should get the RIZR cuz if you get the Blackberry you have to pay extra each month. I don't think you can have the Blackberry without the plan also.
