Blackberry Pearl address book problem?

Question

For some reason when I click on the address book symbol on my phone it won't open it or respond to the action. It's also showing the hour glass a lot and it's getting annoying. I can't figure out how or why the address book will not open. Please help...

try restarting it..remove the battery and put it back again...or try updating it with the "blackberry desktop manager"...                                            good luck...
