Blackberry wont charge?

My blackberry 7100g wont charge properly. If i have 30% batt life and plug it in charge the batt life goes down to zero and then takes about 5 hours to get back a 30% life. I tried different chargers and USB and the same thing. It use to happen about 8 months ago when i just first got the phone so i had barrowed a charger that can charge the battery outside the phone (that was a problem cause it took 4 minutes to turn on each time) after about a month i tried the normal charger and it worked just fine. Now it has started again and i dont have the external batt charger.

  1. This is a common problem with older phones. Get a new battery from RIM, and problem solved.

If it is an actual issue with the USB Port on the BB, call RIM Warranty, as it is a Manufacturer's Defect.

  2. replace the battery. They are about $5 on ebay. This is for the original. The generic ones are actually more expensive.
