  1. Keep in mind that there were more than one Blackfoot tribe.  There was a Blackfoot tribe in Virginia that got its name because they were more like farmers than western Indians and had black feet from working in the fields.  Although, this tribe is not really well known, they are often confused with the western Blackfoot nation.  However, there is no relation between the two.  It was just coincidental that they both got identified as Blackfoot.


  2. This is definitely not a Blackfoot Indian crest... at least not a traditional one.

    The image is of a raven (the source file is "raven.gif") and the use of ovoids is typical of the style of the First Nations/tribes of Northwest Canada and Alaska.
