Blackjack backlight stays on FOREVER. Help?

Question

i have a blackjack i607. the software has been updated from windows mobile 5 to windows mobile 6. the only problem is my backlight won't turn off. after i stop pusing buttons, it dims, then the lights turn off for about 2 seconds, then the keyboard and lights turn back on. the keyboard soon turns off but the display stays lit. i have tried changing every display and power management setting, and still nothing. Please help me because this is killing my battery :/

Hard Reset (check the manual) is the "cure-all" for that kind of problem.
