Blackjack counting help!!!?

blackjack, the best game in the world!

counting cards, i know how to count cards, but i dont get the point of it, and how it relates to blackjack! like what do you do or what do you think when you get a +3 or a +2?

i dont get it!

can someone explain!

Counting cards relates to odds - the odds of getting a 10, picture card (worth 10points) or ace (1 or 11).  If you know the number of cards in the deck, you can figure out how many cards are worth 10 points and 1/11 points.  Then, it's basically a game of odds.  It's also against casino rules to court - so it's something you need to either be able to do in your head - or just play for fun.

I counted the cards there are 52....
