Blocking already sewn in zipper

I made a knitted sweater with zipper front. How do you block the zipper as it's buckling a little where it zips. I forgot to wash the zipper first. This was my first zipper. I was going to spray the zipper back with water

It could be buckling because it's too long for the sweater. Put the sweater on and pin it closed, then measure where the zipper will be. I think you will find it's shorter than what the pattern called for. Get the shorter zipper or cut yours down and pin it in place with A LOT of pins, distributing the extra knit as evenly as you can. Sew it by hand as invisibly as possible.
